Scrum Master Certified

I started 2019 on a high note by achieving my first Scrum certification: Scrum Master Certified (SMC) issued by SCRUMstudy ➡️ .

My decision to pursue this certification was driven by a desire to deepen my understanding of Agile project management frameworks and enhance the performance of my teams. While the potential for new career opportunities and salary improvements is always welcome, my core motivation was to effectively manage projects in a faster, more collaborative way and to facilitate higher-value outcomes for stakeholders.

The possibility of realizing a dream is what makes life interesting.

About this certification: SCRUMstudy’s approach #

Unlike other Scrum certifications that align closely with the Scrum Guide by Scrum.org or organizations like Scrum Alliance and Scrum Inc., the SCRUMstudy certification is based on the Scrum Body of Knowledge (SBOK™ Guide). This framework is more prescriptive and detailed in terms of roles, processes, and management practices tailored to project environments.

This approach provides a comprehensive understanding of Scrum principles as applied in a broad range of industries and projects, complementing the flexibility in the Scrum Guide with practical frameworks for implementation, governance, and scaling. It’s especially useful for professionals looking for structured Agile methodologies that align with organizational standards.

Reflections on the journey #

Earning the Scrum Master Certified credential is the result of learning Agile principles through a clear, structured approach. It gave me the knowledge to support teams, push for continuous improvement, and help them deliver value with more focus.

The SCRUMstudy framework emphasizes clear processes and well-defined roles, and shows how to apply Scrum concepts in real work situations, which matters once you’re using Agile at a larger scale.

I’m looking forward to applying what I learned here to how my teams work.
